He immigrated to the USA in the mid-1860s after getting out of the British Army and married Nancy Cloud in Indiana. Their 1st child, Jane Elizabeth McIntosh (my Grandmother) was born in Sharpsville, Indiana on 24 April 1868. They moved to Elsie, Michigan where they had 10 more children; Eva (m.
