Great site! I'm looking for info on James McIntosh b 1815 who married Emily A Wilcox. They were in Washington Co, Posey Twp,Indiana 1850. Found old news article about one of their sons Sanford E McIntosh, said James came to Washington Co abt 1841. James owned a retail store and passed it on to Sanford. Greetings from Minnesota! There has been some research on our family's Scottish roots, but nothing really extensive- Our hometown here is Montrose, MN and our great grandfather George Miller Wright originally settled in Montrose, Pennsylvania- It's neat to know that our roots could go back to Montrose, Scotland! My Grandmother was born in Bridge of Allen 11th Dec 1878 baptized in Stirling Castle (I am reliably told) daughter of Edward Eaton born Edinborough and Mary Cascombe born Bridge of Allen. she had one brother Charles Edward Eaton. I believe that the baptism took place in Stirling Castle whilst Edward was serving with the Black Watch. Hi Desperately trying to find some information about my MACKINTOSH family. I helping a relative with some genealogy and am looking for a McIntosh who was directly related to a Creek Chief in Oklahoma (perhaps a son? or grandson?). During the summer of 1964 this person worked around Cassville, Missouri - maybe somehow in connection with the construction of Highway 71 in SW Missouri - maybe something to do with engineering - may also have been a college student[at]the time working summers. He was a friend of a girl named Mary Ann Orton - from in or around Cassville - now deceased. Mary Ann may have visited the Creek Nation with him[at]some time as well.
