Apparently, he was struck in the kneecap with a musket ball and was mustered out. Also, to add information to the genealogy, I am the McIntosh who was involved in the 1999 airline crash of American Airlines Flight 1420 into Little Rock AR during a severe thunderstorm. Coincidently, I was able to help 4 injured passengers away from the burning aircraft after a metal rod went through my kneecap and up into my hamstring.
