His children were, DAVID born 2/21/1748, place unknown, (some have said Scotland but have been unable to confirm), William Noble Jr. born about 1750, place unknown, Thomas born about 1752, place unknown, Simpson born about 1754 and Mary born about 1756. William Noble Sr., according to the 1780 - 1782 tax list for Montgomery County, NC., reported having 1600 acres of land. Why would he have so much land when most Scots in NC had 250 to 500 acres? Name: Terry McIntosh CommentsHello all, Doing research on Laughlan McIntosh a drummer in the 71st Highlanders. His parent were Alexander McIntosh and Grace MacLean.Laughlan married Mary McDonald and moved from New Brunswick to Ontario. Laughlan had a son named Alexander born in 1796.I'm trying to find descendants to Alexander. He might of married a woman named Mary Alexander would be my 3rd Greatgrandfather's brother. Laughlan applied for a pension in 1848 he was living with his eldest son.Which would have been Alexander. When I was in Chatham last week I looked through a book called St Paul Church of England. In it I found my ggg grandfather's wedding date and his sister Amelia Elizabeth McIntosh marrying a Malcom Weir. My ggg grandfather's name was Laughlan McIntosh who married Esther Scarlett. In that same book was son born by the name of Daniel McIntosh on March 6,1830 and also daughter Nancy born May 27,1831 to Alexander and Mary McIntosh. I was wondering could Alexander be the son of Laughlan McIntosh and Mary McDonald? All at the same Church, it has good possibilities. If someone knows please e-mail me. Thanks, Terry McIntosh
