Clan McIntosh |
I am doing a genealogy on the EASON FAMILY. My mother's
maiden name was EASON. I didn't realize that we were a sept of
the Clan McIntosh till I started doing this genealogy. How are we
a sept? I received a copy of the EASON COAT of ARMS. I didn't
know till then that the EASON'S were from Scotland. If anyone has
any information on the EASON NAME, PLEASE SEND IT TO ME. Do you have any information regarding the Elder family?
Thank you.
Anybody seeking information on Clan MacKintosh and Clan
Chattan may contact me at Email address below. Clan Chattan being

their principal clan. I will be happy to any one find their
history, relatives or with clan affiliations and member
information. I look forward to talking with you. Aye. My ancestor's came to the US from Scotland via Ottawa,
Canada. My Grandfather's name was Samuel Augustus MacIntosh who
lived most of his life in southern Wisconsin. Somewhere along the

be related. Cool Page! Super page! I am a direct descendant of John Mohr McIntosh
who came to Georgia (Darien and Savannah). My dad and my

McIntosh. I was raised in PA and as far as family there was a
clan and a half located in PA still. My Great-grandfather's name

Kenneth. After I must say I haven't seen any family members since
I got out of school. Anyone and everyone that I can remember
lived with in a 300(if that) radius of each other. Looking for information on family. Hope this is the right
clan - last name spelled with c above line and 2 dots. If not
right clan, please inform me and maybe head in right direction.

@netcore.ca. My greatX3 grandmother was Margaret McIntosh B: 1778-1786
and wife of James Cameron B: aby 1786 in Blair Atholl, Scotland.
I'm looking for any additional information that ties in to my
family history. It's a nice web page. I'm just searching for any possible
leads to my Andres and Hansell names. Amazing how many of us there are out there isn't it? I live
in New Zealand now but I was born in Australia. My fathers name
is Donald Thomas McIntosh and that's about the extent of my
knowledge on my family history. The site looks great. Mother Winifred McIntosh (Ohio 1924 - 1991 New York),
daughter of Frank Bringle McIntosh (southern Indiana 1895 - 1991
New York). Sister of Frank Wayne McIntosh (Ohio 1926? - living in
Washington State): he has two adult sons, Tom (Colorado) and
Richard (CA), and two daughters carrying the clan name: Cathy and
Susan (both CA). Samuel McIntosh and Emma Bringle were the
parents of F. Bringle McIntosh, and I believe it was Samuel's
grandfather who came over from Scotland as a young man to fight
on the British side against some colonials... Oglethorpe's
command. His name was John Og McIntosh, and he accompanied his
uncle, another John McIntosh, who was a physician, I seem to
recall -- is that the John Mor McIntosh from your pages? Ah, you
should talk to my uncle, he's researched the whole thing and
written it up. Except this: I gather there is a branch of the
family in the Creek Nation, that they moved to Oklahoma along the
Trail of Tears, and that for some time the hereditary chief of
the tribe in Oklahoma was a McIntosh. The only historical
information I've been able to find on that suggests the descent
was from a Scots trader, not from John Og's line at all. Anyone
with any more information on that? I suppose the rather shocking
resemblance to my grandfather could have been due to a connection
through the Bringle side...! We were sent a magazine cover in the
'60s with a photographic portrait of the Creek Chief McIntosh,
and the resemblance was what had prompted the person to check the
name. Lovely to see so many McIntoshes about in cyberspace! Touch
not the cat 'bot a mouse?!... or trackball, etc... GA McIntoshes
-- see you at the Stone Mountain Games! |
